In an exhibition of its collection, the Museum of Design in Zurich explores the value of design.

In 1875, the Museum of Arts and Crafts, as it was called at the time, began purchasing design, graphics, posters and applied art. The four collections are shown in a collective exhibition for the first time.
The exhibition "Every Thing Design" provides an overview of the treasures which have accumulated since the formation of the design collection, stored today in a functional building in Zurich's industrial district. The exhibition opened at the Museum of Design Zurich at the beginning of April.
Among the multitude of objects you will discover a number of amazing items, including outfits from the museum's exquisite Balenciaga collection. Of course, the famous Freitag bags, the Helvetica typeface and the SIGG bottle are also on display.
The exhibition is open from April 3 to July 19, 2009, at the Museum of Design in Zurich.
