SIGG Guest of honour at Vivienne Westwood's Party

26.04.2010

The partnership between SIGG and fashion designer Vivienne Westwood continues.Together they continue to build awareness about the excessive use of plastic bottles. The SIGG "Limited Editions", created by the english designer decorated the window and shelves of the Milan Boutique at the party during "Fuorisalone", the event that acts as the backdrop to the "Salone del Mobile".

The “GET A LIFE!” party held by Vivienne Westwood in her boutique in Milan’s Corso Venezia was a huge success. The whole store was decorated with SIGG’s ecological aluminium bottles, which perfectly fitted in with the English designer’s colourful collection. The aim of the partnership between SIGG and Vivienne Westwood, who has always been a symbol of “revolution” in the fashion world, is to build consumers’ awareness on the implications caused by the everyday use of plastic bottles. The party in Milan was a further opportunity to promote the universal right to water and an eco-sustainable distribution of this invaluable asset. The party on April 15th was part of a partnership agreement between SIGG and Vivienne Westwood which will last for the whole of 2010. The collaboration started in January with the launch of a “Limited Edition” bottle, designed by Vivienne Westwood for the men’s fashion week in Milan. This SIGG is decorated with ecological slogans, with one in particular: Stop climate change! It is an invitation to governments and the world’s population to put their foot down over the indiscriminate exploitation of our planet. In addition to the one presented in Milan, two other SIGG bottles will be presented by Vivienne Westwood in “Limited Edition” versions at the major fashion shows in June and September 2010.
