Heidi Klum

Born in 1973 in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. Nineteen years later, as a young student she participated in a modeling contest called “Model ’92”, which was aired on Thomas Gottschalk’s late-night show. Heidi Klum held sway over 25,000 contestants, winning a three-year modeling contract worth $300,000.
In 1993, after graduating from school and deciding against an apprenticeship as a fashion designer, she emigrated to the United States.
Her massive international breakthrough came after she appeared on the cover of the Swimsuit Issue of Sports Illustrated magazine.
Occasionally, Heidi Klum has also appeared in television shows and films, including a cameo as herself in the comedy-drama The Devil Wears Prada. She has also hosted several reality television shows, with Germany’s Next Topmodel likely to be the most famous show hosted by Heidi Klum.
Sweets, jewelry and perfumes are among the many products bearing the model’s name. German candy manufacturer Katjes and its US distribution partner Hillside Candy jointly launched a range of wine gums called “My Favorite Candies by Heidi Klum”. There is no SIGG bottle with her name on it – yet – but her son is lucky enough to drink from one, proudly displaying his SIGG bottle on the playground.
