Born in 1976 in Vancouver, Canada, Ryan Rodney Reynolds is the youngest of four brothers.
From 1991 to 1993, Ryan starred in the Canadian TV series Hillside (distributed in the US by Nickelodeon as Fifteen) and many other Canadian TV programs. All in all, however, his acting career did not take off to Ryan's satisfaction and he decided to change jobs. Luckily, actor and fellow Canadian Chris Martin was able to persuade Ryan to burn all bridges, join him and move to Los Angeles.
After spending a few months in a cheap motel, Ryan was offered the role of Berg in the sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, which proved to be his stepping stone for more successful roles in feature films.
